- 14.45 - 15.30: Datamining BoardGameGeek  turning your feelings into numbers - Colm Seeley, Video Games Certification Analyst, British Film Institute and Dinesh Vatvani,Data Anaylst, Decision Technology

When we play board games, we deal with hard numbers; income, victory points, die probabilities, but when we talk about them, our language gets fluffier. This presentation uses the rich, community-generated data set of BoardGameGeek to test some universal board game 'truths' and show what's actually going on. How fast has roll-and-move died out as a mechanic? How quickly is the annual number of board game releases rising? How biased is the BoardGameGeek Top 100 towards heavy games? We'll have the answers to these questions and more, illustrated with some handsome graphs and a perfectly reasonable amount of mathematical hand-waving.

- 15.30 - 16.15: How the games we curate relate not just to the audience we have – but also the audiences we build - David Hayward, Director at YMPT

YMPT has run events for video game developers for over a decade and actually understands how diverse is the spectrum of board gaming. David is curator of Leftfield for EGX and EGX Rezzed where he shows experimental video games. He will discuss building and working with the offline gaming community and understanding what kind of audience are into board games.

- 16.15 - 17.00: General discussion
